AI assistant
Ask a question in words about the selected market and get an answer built from recorded data — how the numbers in an answer are produced, what you can ask, the allowance, and what the error messages mean.
The AI assistant module answers a question about the selected market from what TapeHawk recorded about it over the last 24 hours. It is in the Macro layout, and needs a confirmed account because each question runs a paid language model. Anyone else sees a link to sign in, or a note to confirm their email.
Asking
Type in the box — its placeholder names the market and venue the question will be about — and press Enter, or the Ask button. Shift Enter starts a new line. A question cannot be empty or longer than the limit the counter under the box shows (characters used / allowed); past it the counter marks the overrun and the button stays off. The box empties as soon as the question is taken, and the answer arrives under it.
A question that suits it is about what happened, such as How was order flow over the last day?. Ask in any of the languages the site is available in: the answer comes back in the language of the question, even when the page is in another one. When the language of a short question is unclear, the page's language is used.

Why you can trust the numbers — and what that does not mean
The model that writes the answer writes no numbers. It writes the sentences with placeholders, and TapeHawk checks them and fills every placeholder from the recorded data. A figure in an answer is therefore a recorded figure, never an estimate made by the model. A line under the answer, N facts used, opens a list of exactly the facts the answer drew on, each with its name and value, so you can check the answer against them.
That makes the numbers right; it does not make the reading right. A model can still describe a correct number badly. The module says so, in a note above the conversation: Answers restate recorded data for the selected market. Every number comes from TapeHawk, not the model. Not financial advice.
The assistant describes what was recorded. An answer that gives advice, repeats a number the data does not hold, or states one in words instead of figures is refused, and you see The recorded facts cannot answer that. Try asking what happened on this market over the last day. instead. A refused answer is not a failure on your side — rephrase the question around what was recorded. The conversation
Each question is answered on its own: the assistant does not see your earlier questions, so a follow-up has to carry its own context. The conversation is kept on this page only; a reload clears it. The 20 most recent exchanges stay on screen, each marked with the market it was asked about, so changing the selected market does not rewrite an earlier answer. Clear in the title bar removes the finished ones.
One question runs at a time. The button reads Thinking… until the answer arrives.
The allowance
Questions cost money, so each account has a small allowance — a few questions an hour and roughly five a day. The daily one resets at 00:00 UTC. When you reach either, the module says so in place of the answer. The messages you can meet:
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| You have reached this hour's AI limit | Your questions for this hour are used. Try again later |
| You have used today's assistant allowance | Your daily allowance is used. It resets at 00:00 UTC |
| The assistant has reached today's limit for everyone | The shared daily ceiling for all members is used. It resets at 00:00 UTC |
| Your previous question is still being answered | A question is already running |
| The assistant is busy. Try again in N s | Too many questions at once. Wait the time it says |
| The model did not answer. This question was still counted | The model timed out or failed. The question used its share of the allowance |
| Write a question of 1 to … | The question is empty or longer than the limit the counter shows |
| This market is not in the catalogue | The selected market is no longer listed. Pick another |
| Your session ended — sign in again | You were signed out |
| No connection to the server | The request did not reach TapeHawk |
| The assistant is unavailable right now | Anything else; try again later |

One press runs four analysts, a bull and a bear who argue, and a trader who decides BUY, SELL or HOLD for the selected market — what each role reads, what a verdict is and is not, the daily runs, and the history.
