What TapeHawk sets
Session cookies — required for the Service to work if you have an account:
qf_access— proves who you are for 15 minutes at a time, refreshed automatically while you
are active.
qf_refresh— lets your browser get a newqf_accesswithout signing in again, for up to 30
days.
Both are httpOnly (no page script, including one from a browser extension, can read them), sent only over HTTPS in production, and scoped so they are not sent to unrelated sites. There is no way to "reject" these cookies and stay signed in — they are how sign-in works, the same as on any site with an account.
What a third party may set
If Google Analytics is enabled on this site, it sets its own cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and measure traffic, under Google's own terms — TapeHawk does not control their name, lifetime, or content. You can see and delete them in your browser's cookie settings, or block them with a browser extension; doing so does not affect signing in or using the chart.
Signing in with Google briefly involves a cookie Google's own sign-in page sets, which TapeHawk never reads.
What is stored only on your device
TapeHawk keeps some interface preferences — such as your chart's local display settings — in your browser's own storage (localStorage), not in a cookie and not sent to our server. Clearing your browser's site data removes these along with everything else on this list.
How to turn cookies off
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings. Blocking qf_access or qf_refresh will sign you out and keep you signed out, since the Service has no other way to recognize a returning, signed-in visitor. Blocking Google Analytics' cookies does not affect the product at all.
