Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or otherwise using TapeHawk (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Creating an account also means you agree to our Privacy Policy.

2. What the Service is

TapeHawk shows real-time and historical market data for cryptocurrency futures and spot markets — price charts, an order-book heatmap, footprint and volume-profile views, and marker detectors (absorption, sweep, and similar patterns) — sourced from third-party exchanges (currently Binance and Bybit). You can build custom chart layouts, write your own indicators in TapeHawk's own scripting language, and set alert rules delivered in-app or by email.

Market data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. See the Risk Disclaimer — it applies to everything on this page and is part of these Terms.

3. Your account

You need an account to save layouts, alerts, or indicators. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately (via Contact) if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must provide a real email address you control. Some features (email alerts, checkout) require a verified email.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract data from the Service outside its documented

API and normal interactive use;

  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute TapeHawk's market data or indicator output as a data feed of

your own;

  • share your account credentials with, or use your account on behalf of, another person;
  • attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, or access controls;
  • send content through the contact or feedback forms that is unlawful, abusive, or a security

attack (e.g. malformed input intended to exploit the service);

  • use the Service to build a competing product from its data or source.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section.

5. Content you create

Chart layouts, drawings, alert rules, and custom indicator scripts you write remain yours. By saving them on TapeHawk, you grant us a license to store, process, and display them back to you as part of operating the Service — nothing more. We do not claim ownership of your indicator scripts, and we do not share them with other users unless you explicitly choose to (there is currently no such sharing feature).

Messages you send through the contact or feedback forms may be read and acted on by our support staff. See the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.

6. Paid plans

TapeHawk may offer a paid "Pro" tier with additional features, billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. When a paid plan is available:

  • payment is processed entirely by Stripe — TapeHawk never receives or stores your card details;
  • a subscription renews automatically until you cancel it through the billing portal

(reachable from your account);

  • cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period

except where required by applicable law;

  • prices and features of the paid tier may change with notice on the Pricing page.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that market data is accurate, complete, or uninterrupted, that indicator or marker detectors correctly identify any market condition, or that the Service will be available at all times. See the Risk Disclaimer.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TapeHawk is not liable for any trading loss, lost profit, or indirect or consequential damage arising from your use of the Service, including from delayed, missing, or incorrect data, or from a decision made based on a marker, indicator, or alert.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Account, which permanently removes your data as described there. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates Section 4, or close the Service entirely with reasonable notice.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. A material change will be reflected by a new date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

TapeHawk has not designated a specific governing jurisdiction for these Terms. If you need to know which laws would apply to a dispute, ask us through Contact.

12. Contact
